Our specialized Advanced Memory Care programs allow us to focus the attention of our care staffs on the unique frustrations and fears that come with memory loss.
We believe that each behavior is part of communicating, and we remain motivated to understand each resident and find ways to engage residents in meaningful interactions and daily life activities. Confusion, disorientation, anxiety, and paranoia are all feelings that can be diminished with carefully designed interventions which reorient or redirect the resident into safe, productive, and meaningful activities and emotions.

WestHaven programs for memory care residents have been state approved and are staffed by specially trained Care Companions all in a purpose-built memory care community that includes safety features, exit alarms and common areas designed to encourage group participation.
